Condolence From: Jenny Granse
Condolence: Dear Sharon, I am so sorry to learn of Dot's passing. She was such a lovely soul. I can see her walking up and down your driveway here in Pace so she could remain strong and fit. I'm so hoping I can be like her as I get older, witty and always smiling. As her caregiver, you were the best, a very loving daughter. I know this will be a difficult time for you. Please remember, you have lots of friends who care about you. Sending love...

Condolence: Sharon,
I have tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat as read all the beautiful comments on your mom's memory page. You took such good care of her, not only her physical needs, but you helped her live each day to the fullest with all your adventures. I know there is a big empty spot in your heart. She was a beautiful lady and I am honored to have met her. I feel like I know her from all your stories. What a lovely tribute for Mother's Day...Love, Pam

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of Mrs Dots passing!! I remember when my family and I came to stay with yall after Hurricane Katrina we also came with several pets. 3 Cats a Dog and a bird if I remember correctly. Plus yalls dogs and cats. She had a ball making sure each pet was taken care of, fed, walked, did their "business" and keeping them from fighting (one of my cats did not do well with other animals). When we brought my moms bird in and on the porch she just loved that!! She also made sure we had what we needed while Sharon was at work. I remember she enjoyed playing the slot games on the computer. She was very sweet to us and I know she is playing with all of the doggies and kitties up in Heaven. My condolences and thoughts are with you!!!!

Condolence: Sharon, you could have written a book on caregivers and their joys and tears I'm sure. I remember the day I was waiting in the medical offices waiting room with my mother and you came through wheeling your mom to her appointment. If I remember correctly, she had a smile for us then. May you find strength in these next days as you miss her.
When I catch myself still trying to mentally arrange my day to see about Mother's needs, I change that to looking forward to seeing her again with a better body and mind. What a day that will be!
God bless you in the days ahead, Sharon.
Brenda

Condolence: My sincere condolences to the family and many friends, so sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in knowing that Jehovah God will soon resurrect our dear loved ones (John 5:28-29). Oh how we long for the time when pain, suffering and death will be no more, these former things will have passed away (Revelation 21:3-5).

Condolence: My "2nd Mom"
Corrected message.

I have loved Dottie all of my 34 years of married life to Dot's son, John. She was funny, upbeat and the best mother-in-law anyone could have! She loved her grandsons, both blood, JJ, and step, Chad so much! She was the best "Grammie" to our boys. I had a harrowing birth of our baby, JJ. He was a preemie and I was on death's door. She discovered that, after 4 showers, I still needed things I hadn't had the opportunity ro shop for. She worked at Michael's Department Store in Iowa. She packed the biggest box she could find with everything we needed for the baby from Michael's. What a Godsend! She came to stay wth us for a month after JJ was born. She rocked him for hours! She never had to express her feelings of love. It was obvious in everything she did!

When John would tease her, which he did relentlessly, she had his number! She played right into his hands! She was the best mom ever to John and Sharon. She lived with Sharon the last 20 years. She couldn't have wished for a better life. Sharon and her husband, Greg, loved having her in their home! She handled the tasks that Sharon didn't have time to do with her position as a Media Specialist. Sharon worked long hours and Dot would take care of the house, animals, etc. She was the best! After Greg died, she and Sharon were the dynamic duo. Dot traveled with her to Rhode Island and back every year. She loved it! She loved the puppies Sharon brought into their lives regularly. She fed them, walked them and loved on them. They will miss her lap.

I will miss her humor and laugh. I will miss her signing cards she sent me, "Your second mom"! I will just miss everything about her. My heart is breaking.

Denise Kenerleber, Dottie's "Second daughter."
